What You Can Do in the Lil Tracker GPS App
The app is free to use, contains no advertising, and does not require an app subscription. The watch or pendant still requires compatible mobile service, and the available features depend on the device model and SIM plan.
Depending on the model, approved app users can:
- View the device’s current or most recently reported location
- Request an updated location
- Manage approved contacts and phone numbers
- Receive SOS and other device alerts
- Exchange voice chat messages on supported watches
- Use regular two-way calling when voice service is included
- Set reminders, schedules, and School Mode where supported
- Manage selected safety and caregiver settings remotely

Location Tracking
Lil Tracker devices can use GPS, nearby Wi-Fi networks, and cellular positioning to estimate location. GPS is normally the most accurate method and works best outdoors with a clear view of the sky.
When a device is indoors, underground, surrounded by tall buildings, or unable to receive a strong GPS signal, the app may show a Wi-Fi or cellular-based location instead. These methods can provide useful location information when GPS is unavailable, but they may be less precise.
The app displays the reported location source and time so caregivers can better understand the information being shown.
SOS Alerts and Approved Contacts
Compatible Lil Tracker devices include an SOS function that allows the wearer to quickly contact approved family members or caregivers.
When SOS is activated, the device may call designated contacts and send an alert through the app, depending on the device and mobile service plan.
Contacts are managed by an authorized app user, helping families control who can communicate with the wearer.
Voice Chat Messages
Voice chat is one of the most convenient communication features available on supported Lil Tracker watches. The wearer can record a short voice message on the watch, and approved caregivers can listen and reply through the app.
Voice chat uses mobile data rather than regular cellular voice minutes, making it useful for quick everyday communication.

Each person should use an individual app account rather than sharing one password. This improves security and makes it easier to remove access when someone no longer needs the device in their app.
SIM Card and Mobile Service Requirements
The app communicates with the watch or pendant through the mobile network. The device therefore requires a compatible Nano SIM card and an active cellular plan.
The plan must include enough mobile data for location updates, app commands, and voice chat. Standard calls, SOS calling, and other voice features also require voice service.
A data-only plan may support location tracking and app communication but will not support regular phone calls.

What can affect communication with the app?
